Dr. Nihad Almasri is interested in teaching and research particularly in the area of neuromuscular pediatric conditions. Her pedagogical interests include developing high quality and evidence based teaching methods specifically in the area of pediatric physiotherapy.
She has been a faculty member at the University of Jordan for the past six years. She has been teaching undergraduate level courses in neuroscience, musculoskeletal physiotherapy, sport medicine, and pediatric physiotherapy. She is the clinical coordinator for the clinical courses.
She participated in committees that worked in curriculum review, clinical training, and quality assurance issues for the program of physiotherapy offered at the University of Jordan.
As part of her PhD program Dr. Almasri was a teaching assistant for pediatric PT, spine PT, and evidence based rehabilitation for post graduate DPT courses.
Dr. Almasri is currently involved in three research grants with national funding which specifically examine physical services provided for children and youth with cerebral palsy.
