​Prof. Sibel graduated from the Hacettepe University School of Physical Therapy and Rehabilitation in 1991.

She completed Master of Science studies in 1994 and PhD studies in 1998 at Institute of Health Sciences of HU. 

She took the title of associate professor in 2004 and professor in 2011. She worked as an ECTS Institutional Coordinator of the Hacettepe University between 2004 and 2012. She has participated in several courses in the field of neurological rehabilitation, ECTS and Erasmus studies.

Currently, Prof. Sibel Aksu is carrying out education and research activities in the neurological rehabilitation unit at Physical Therapy and Rehabilitation Department of Faculty of Health Sciences.

 She is also working as an Institutional Erasmus Coordinator of Hacettepe University.​
