Dr. Green is a Reader in Occupational Therapy/Rehabilitation. Her main teaching and research interests include Paediatric Neurodisability Rehabilitation; Translational Medicine; Brain development and occupational performance in childhood; Motor learning and motor control.
Teaching interests at undergraduate and post graduate levels focus on developing clinical reasoning, critical awareness and evidence based practice, research ethics. Opportunities available for students for research experience within clinical settings.
Dr Green’s research interests focus on translational medicine and inter-disciplinary collaborations to promote participation with an emphasis on an ecological approach to understanding the challenges to participation from the person, task and environmental interfaces.
Research studies focus on neuro-disability with an emphasis on clinical applications of science, including use of 3-D motion analysis and functional Magnetic Resonance Imaging (fMRI) and virtual reality technologies to optimize occupational therapy protocols.
