About Me

Prof. Çiğdem has been an associative professor lecturer and researcher in the Department of Occupational Therapy, Faculty of Health Sciences at Hacettepe University in Turkey since 2012.

She graduated from the School of Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation of Hacettepe University in 1999. After that she was enrolled in the M.Sc. program in the Department of Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation, Institute of Health Sciences, Hacettepe University and started to work as a research assistant in Hacettepe University in the same year.

 In 2003, she received her M.Sc. degree and joined the Ph.D. program which she has successfully completed in 2009. She has also been involved in the development of occupational therapy school in Turkey.

She has 18 years clinical, educational and scientific experience in the treatment of patients with hand disorders.

Her research area is currently focusing on outcome measures for rehabilitation and hand rehabilitation. She is the author of many publications and presentations.

Prof. Çiğdem​ has been working as a physiotherapist of the Paralympic shooting team and has also been working with the International Paralympic Comitee as an international classifier since 2009.

Research Interest

Research interests include Outcome measures, Hand rehabilitation, Upper extremity rehabilitation, Orthopedic rehabilitation and Neurological rehabilitation.
