Prof. Gonca is a professor lecturer and researcher in the Department of Occupational Therapy, Faculty of Health Sciences at Hacettepe University in Turkey.
She is one of the founder of first occupational therapy school in Turkey, and has worked in many European Union Projects about social inclusion of disabled children and adults.
She is a founding and executive board member of Turkish Ergotherapy Association, Turkish Health Sciences Education Program Evaluation and Accreditation Association, Music Therapy Association.
She is also a member of the Faculty Education Commission, a Turkish alternate delegate of WFOT, and an Editor of Journal of Health Sciences Occupational Therapy Section and associate editor of Journal of Occupational Therapy and Rehabilitation.
Prof. Gonca is the head of pediatric occupational therapy unit and teach licence, Master of science and PhD courses at OT school.
Research interests are in the areas of Pediatric Occupational Therapy, Sensory Integration, Cognitive Rehabilitation, Ergonomics, Vocational Rehabilitation, Curriculum development and school based Occupational Therapy.
