The University of Jordan (UJ) was established in 1962 and is the first institution of Higher Education in Jordan.
JU enables its students to choose from a wide range of programs- more than 3500 different courses, offered by 18 faculties. These programs include 63 of undergraduate programs, 30 doctoral programs, 87 master's programs, 17 programs in higher specialization in Medicine and Dentistry, and 3 professional diploma programs.
The faculty of rehabilitation sciences has been established in 1999. It offers bachelor-level degrees in Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, Hearing and Speech, and finally Orthotics and Prosthetics.
